anybody have any suggestions for improvements to caem? i've been working on v4.1 and would like some ideas before i release. i had to take some shortened classes this summer that i just finished, and thats where most of my time has been going. i've also been working on haze, which analyzes emails and maps and traces their headers, provides extensive information on the sender (for that bulk mail and other shit) and offers options to report the traced sender to their isp. alot of other shit too. its turning out nice, and now that i have some time to work on my code, it should _actually_ be out soon. also, if you have any ideas for a new project, ideas for my website, or anything else, hook me up with mail (or post to this forum). one more thing- if anyone has any advice on distributing my software and getting more people to this site and my code, let me know- anything will be much appreciated. i respond to all of my email too, so hook it up. -logik logik@comcast.net

when I scan SMTPD's with caem, most of the SMTPD's it gets really end up not working, so if theres a way to make it find the exact types of SMTPD's it needs that would make everything waaay easier. But besides that, (which isnt a big deal) I think caem is the best mail bomber and utility arround. (Edited by Spratt at 10:22 pm on July 31, 2002)

Logik... oleBuzzard here. I think CAEM is great. From what I know of the program there is a piece of functionality it could very much use, and that would be the implementation of MULTIPART-MIME. Multi-part mime is important because it allows different messages to be sent based on the capabilities of the e-mail reader. In one of it's most complete senses a multi-part mime compliant emailer will allow you to send messages in the 3 forms, HTML Email, plaintext, and AML (AOL Markup Language). An example of a Flash/PHP based mailer can be found at http://www.joshclayton.com/vlp. You will see an option in the Virtual Listening Party to send to a friend. If you send to an HTML compliant email client the receiver will receive an HTML e-mail. A plain text only client will receive a plain text message, and an AOL receiver will receive a formated, plaintext email with hyper links. Another one can be found at http://www.jimmyeatworld.net/vlp (last I knew anyway). Anyway, I think if you were to add that functionality you would elevate this product to one of the most versatile on the market. Cheers! oleBuzzard™ -> /<n0wledge phreak™

OleBuzzard! I haven't seen you around in years! I can't say that you'd remember me, I never really talked to you, but I do remember you from hanging around on hotline servers a while back. Were you at all related to OlePigeon? He had some great projects he was working on... What's going on? Feel free to email me, tensinx@mac.com, and we can chat. sinx
